Unacademy closes UpGrad deal at $200 Mn

•Unacademy acquired by UpGrad for $200 million, a 94% decline from its 2021 valuation of $3.4 billion.

•Gaurav Munjal, Unacademy co-founder and CEO, confirmed the deal, citing a topline of Rs 400 crore and Rs 900 crore in the bank.

•The acquisition combines Unacademy's educator network and businesses with UpGrad's higher education and upskilling portfolio.

•UpGrad gains entry into online test-preparation segments, including UPSC, JEE, NEET, and GATE, with Unacademy's educator network.
