Shyam Metalics signs deal to invest over $5 billion in Maharashtra

•Shyam Metalics to invest $5.19 billion in Maharashtra for a steel plant in Chandrapur.

•The project will create 30,000 jobs, including 10,000 direct and 20,000 indirect roles.

•The steel plant will have a 9 million-metric-tonnes-per-year capacity, a greenfield complex.

•Operations to begin in the ongoing financial year, subject to approvals and clearances.
