SBI pegs India's first quarter GDP at 8%, sees scope for FY27 growth upgrade

SBI expects India's GDP growth to reach 8% in the June quarter, above RBI and CNBC-TV18 estimates.
The estimate is driven by broad-based strength in consumption, investment, exports, and government spending.
SBI's Group Chief Economic Advisor, Soumya Kanti Ghosh, expects nominal GDP growth to reach 14% in the first quarter.
Both SBI and HDFC Bank expect India's growth to remain above 7% in FY27, despite monsoon and private investment risks.
