Manipal bets on greenfield growth; 80% of 2,426 planned beds to be new

•Expansion will focus on existing markets, including Karnataka, Maharashtra, and eastern India, with potential acquisitions in Delhi-NCR, Telangana, and other states.

•Greenfield expansion requires ₹380-₹390 crore investment per 250-bed hospital, excluding land and building costs, with 1,943 greenfield beds potentially costing ₹2,915 crore.

•Occupancy at Manipal's existing hospitals stood at 64.5% in FY26, with operational beds increasing 20.2% to 6,227.
