InterGlobe Aviation swings to ₹238 crore Q1 loss as fuel costs rise 86%

•InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, reported a consolidated net loss of ₹237.6 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
•The loss was attributed to a 85.7 per cent increase in aircraft fuel expenses, which outpaced the 19.9 per cent rise in revenue from operations.
•Revenue from operations increased to ₹24,584.1 crore, while total expenses climbed 34.4 per cent to ₹25,852.5 crore.
•Fuel costs represented 44.1 per cent of operating revenue, a significant increase from 28.5 per cent a year earlier.
•The company attributed the increase in fuel costs to geopolitical developments in West Asia and is awaiting detailed guidelines on a Price Stabilisation Fund.
