IGL looking to acquire stakes in city gas distribution firms: Chairman

•IGL Chairman Subhankar Sen says the company is exploring stake acquisitions in city gas distribution firms to complement its network.

•IGL aims to replace conventional grid power with renewable energy, with a 500 MW solar plant joint venture in Rajasthan and a 200 MW tender.

•The company has set up 70 new CNG stations, taking its total to 1,024, and added over 370,000 new PNG domestic connections in 2025-26.

•IGL operates in 18 cities, with a 32,000 km pipeline network, serving over 2.1 million CNG vehicles and 3 million PNG households.
