Garden Reach to invest ₹2,670 crore in 3 new facilities to expand shipbuilding capacity

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers will invest ₹2,670 crore in three new facilities at Raichak, Shalimar, and Kidderpore Docks in West Bengal.
The largest ₹2,500-crore project at Raichak will support construction of warships up to 200 metres and commercial vessels up to 60,000 DWT.
₹100 crore will be invested at Shalimar and ₹70 crore at Kidderpore for medium-sized vessel repairs and construction of smaller craft.
The expansion aims to strengthen GRSE's indigenous shipbuilding capabilities and support India's maritime forces and other defence customers.
