Gail marketing director Sanjay Kumar named next CEO of Petronet LNG

•Sanjay Kumar, GAIL's Director (Marketing), appointed as Petronet LNG's CEO, effective May 13, 2027.

•Kumar, 59, will have a 5-year term, replacing A K Singh, whose extended tenure ends on May 13, 2027.

•Petronet LNG is India's largest gas importer, majority owned by state-owned oil firms, with 27.5 million tonnes of regasification capacity.

•Kumar, a mechanical engineer and MBA, brings 35 years of sector experience, including natural gas and LNG value chain expertise.
