FSSAI bans Nestle dairy whitener over ‘unsafe’ sample; company claims ‘full compliance’ with norms

FSSAI bans Nestle's Low Fat Dairy Whitener sale after a sample was declared "UNSAFE & SUBSTANDARD" in laboratory reports.

The sample was collected from The Lalit hotel in New Delhi, and Nestle claims the product is safe, citing natural phosphorus in milk-based products.

FSSAI issued directives to immediately stop selling the product, while Nestle India maintains compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

The regulator's action follows a similar ban on compounded hing manufacturers earlier this month.
