7 states plan 1,380 new GCCs, to help create 1.2 mn jobs by 2031: CBRE

•Seven Indian states, including Karnataka and Maharashtra, aim to establish 1,380 Global Capability Centres (GCCs) by 2031.
•These centres are expected to create 1.2 million jobs, with Karnataka targeting 500 GCCs and 350,000 jobs, and Maharashtra aiming for 200 GCCs and 400,000 jobs.
•Other states, such as Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh, also have dedicated policies to attract GCCs and create jobs.
